At Bret Harte Elementary, we believe the early years lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning. In addition to our high-quality core curriculum, we offer a variety of programs and supports designed to help every TK, Kindergarten, and 1st grade student thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. From play-based learning and hands-on experiences to early literacy and math instruction, English learner support, technology integration, counseling services, and a quality after-school program, we are committed to meeting the unique needs of every child. Our goal is to provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where every Bear Hugger develops the confidence, skills, and curiosity to succeed both now and in the future.

RAC After-School Program

Learning extends beyond the school day at Bret Harte Elementary. Our after-school program, operated by RAC, provides students with a safe, engaging environment where they can receive academic support, participate in enriching activities, and continue building friendships. Whether your child would benefit from additional learning opportunities or simply enjoys exploring new interests after school, our program offers something for everyone. English Language Development

At Bret Harte Elementary, we celebrate the rich diversity of our school community and recognize the many languages and cultures our students bring to the classroom. Our English Language Development (ELD) program provides purposeful instruction and support to help multilingual learners build confidence and proficiency in English while continuing to thrive academically. We are committed to ensuring every student has the tools and opportunities they need to succeed.
